A worrisome down turn.
In July 2012 Mr. Bing was diagnosed with Hypercalcemia (too much Calcium in the blood). He was losing weight quickly, had diarrhea and occasional vomiting. I made the decision to treat him with complimentary approaches rather than submit him to surgery, chemo and ongoing medical care. Read earlier blog entries to see his progress.
In my previous blog, Mr. Bing had made a miraculous turn for the better, eating avidly and gaining weight. He even left his beloved paper bag I had situated on the heat register by the front door and started laying on the chair again.
About 4 days ago I noticed him not eating as much. He went back and forth for a couple of days; eating more, then eating less. Now yesterday and today, he is barely touching anything I put down for him, even the Brushtail he devoured for 4 weeks straight. Of course this happened just after I ordered another case of Brushtail!
Some of the glazed look of pain is back and he lays listing to one side (a sign of pain in the past). So I’ve increased the frequency of the Arnica drops and essential oils. Such a strange and unpredicable disease!
